Dell U.S computer manufacturer enters the highly competitive Indian smartphones market with the launch of two 3G high-end phones XCD28 and XCD35 having the price of Rs 10,999 and 16,990 respectively.
Other foreign companies who are already in the Indian market are HTC, Nokia, Blackberry and Acer, but domestic companies are also trying to corner a piece of cake through aggressive pricing models.

The Department of Telecom (DoT) will roll out the Mobile Number Portability(MNP) from November 25. Initially the service will be introduced in Haryana.

Indian Telecom Minister A. Raja said Tuesday that mobile number portability (MNP) facility, which allows subscribers to use single mobile number for all service providers, will be setup firstly in haryana from the 1st November 2010.
The service will be implemented in the rest of the country in phases later.

Vodafone subscribers who have not yet submitted your address and proof of identity for verification purposes are required to submit the same on or before October 31, 2010 otherwise their connections will be canceled by Department of Telecommunications, India.
