Mobile phone maker Motorola Mobility India has announced today the launch of its 3G smartphone “DEFY” based on Android at a price of 18,990 rupees.

Motorola Defy packs advanced web browsing, messaging and entertainment and a design that supports the challenges of everyday life.

This 3G Android mobile phone has a 3.7 inch touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera and expandable memory up to 32 GB.

Android is a mobile operating system, originally developed by Google and later by the Open Handset Alliance, a consortium of 47 hardware, software and telecommunications companies. Since it is a open-source operating system, Android developers can design applications such as games, music players and location-based services, regardless of the type of phone.

Motorola Defy is dustproof and waterproof, protecting you from life’s little challenges like the sudden rain, reverse, or drop the phone in the sand. It also has a large flexible display with excellent protection.
